Abundance Model

In the spirit of support and access for all, I’m thrilled to lean into offering The Abundance Model pricing for most of my events – a sliding scale pricing system inspired by the Green Bottle Theory. I trust that it will be respected and honoured, and that it will allow more access to resources. Thank you!

In my own life, I have accessed events on all levels when I can and when I need to. I really love paying money to people for the great things that they do, and I think this is a ripple effect of goodness and support out. This model works best when those with greater financial resources contribute at a level that reflects that abundance, ensuring others with tighter budgets can still participate. If your ability to contribute changes or you want to donate towards subsidized tickets at any time, please reach out. My ability to offer this model is a direct result of your support of my offerings.

How It Works

Let’s look at one specific event I offer for example – The Movement.

Regular tickets are priced at $20. However, under the Abundance Model, I invite you to contribute what you’re able, within a range of $10 to $35.

  • Nurture – $10 – Subsidized price of the event
  • Thrive – $20 – Regular price of the event
  • Flourish – $35 – Pay it forward ticket contributing to the Abundance Model

This flexible scale encourages everyone to participate—paying more if you have the resources, or less if you need a bit of help.

ONLINE PAYMENTS will accept the Regular Thrive pricing online through Paypal. Abundance Model pricing is only available by etransfer to hello@alexiswild.com.

Why It Matters

Each of us experiences times of abundance AND times of need throughout life. By being part of the Abundance Model, you help create a supportive ecosystem, making it possible for more people to access these experiences. Those able to pay a bit more help balance the scale for those who need to pay less, ensuring that I can sustain this offering and foster increased inclusivity.

Keep in mind, this isn’t about necessarily paying what is comfortable for you; sometimes we decide to shift our finances towards things that matter to us – and that can be uncomfortable. The Abundance Model is an invitation to prioritize in your life what feels feasible and right to do for you, while respecting the service that I am offering through the events and one-on-one sessions I curate.

This approach invites vulnerability, mutual reliability, and embodying the value of shared abundance.

How to Choose Your Price

When choosing where to place yourself on the pricing scale, consider your financial circumstances, and think about the community impact of your choice. Here are some guiding questions you may want to consider:

Current Financial Security: Are you able to meet your basic needs (housing, food, healthcare, and other essentials)? If so, paying the regular price or even above it may be a sustainable choice for you. If you’re able to meet all your needs comfortably and enjoy occasional luxuries, consider investing at the higher end of the scale.

Community Investment: If you have the resources to pay more, you could consider your ticket as a way to “pay it forward,” helping others who might be in a tight spot attend at a lower price while supporting the work I am doing. Paying above the regular rate can help to create more accessible opportunities for all.

Personal Priorities and Access: Are you in a phase of life where you need to budget carefully, or are you managing sudden expenses? If so, paying at the lower end of the scale is perfectly fine. I’m glad to have you here, and the scale is here to help meet diverse needs.

Support for a Sustainable Event: By purchasing ANY ticket, you’re contributing to the health and future of this offering. All contributions support compensation for event creation, hiring teachers, covering event costs, and allowing me to continue the Abundance Model in the future.

Reciprocity and Balance: Reflect on any previous or upcoming opportunities you might have to pay it forward. You might pay less now and more later, or vice versa, based on what feels right for your ~~current~~ situation.

Please choose what feels like an honest and balanced reflection of your ability to support this experience—and know that every amount is truly valued! That’s what abundance is all about. I love offering events, and I want you to love coming to them and purchasing a ticket. ♥

Further Support & Trades

I so appreciate all the ways that people support the work I do! If you are drawn to do so, I am always open to more help – volunteering for 15 minutes set up/tear down, supplies, sharing online, etc. Sometimes, I may require more help or supplies, and am happy to trade services with you. In past trades, we swapped event tickets and services for groceries, plants, tickets for their events, time away at a farm retreat, and more. Trades are a beautiful thing sometimes!

Here are some examples of non-monetary contributions you might consider, either to support the work, or to offer as a barter for your contirbution:

Skills and Talents: Are you a photographer, graphic designer, musician, or tech support guru? Your expertise could contribute to event marketing, media, or technical support in the future.

Hands-On Help: If you enjoy event setup, decoration, or cleanup, I’d love to have your help on the day of the event. Extra hands are always valued!

Teaching or Leading Activities: If you’re knowledgeable about a great topic and would like to be part of an event here, I love helping new ideas come to life together. Teachers for events are always paid.

Supplies and Resources: If you have access to materials I might need (like art supplies, seating, lighting, or sound equipment), sharing those resources would be a huge help, especially if they are just collecting dust in your garage.

Spreading the Word: If you’re active on social media or well-connected in the community, helping to promote the event expands its reach. This can be incredibly valuable in spreading awareness and bringing in more participants.

If you’d like to contribute in one of these ways, please do reach out to discuss your ideas. I’m also always open to creative ways to exchange value as well – barter system, yes please!

Down Sides

Offering this style can be incredibly rewarding, but it also comes with some potential challenges, for both me and event participants. I believe it’s important to talk about these things openly as well. These things aren’t givens, but they are considerations when using this style of payment structure.

Me – Inconsistent Income: Without a set ticket price, income may vary widely from event to event, making financial planning more challenging. If too many people opt for lower payment levels or non-monetary contributions, it may not cover essential costs. This may be remedied by offering a set number of lower-tiered tickets for select events. That being said, the reality of events is that ticket sales can’t be guaranteed.

Me and You – Logistics of Managing Trades: Organizing and coordinating service exchanges (e.g., deciding who will help set up, how to schedule tasks, etc.) can add complexity and time to the planning process and to your organization for attending the event. I may need to spend extra time managing these contributions. Contributions towards tickets should also be valued well so that both parties feel well respected.

Me – More Admin Work: Managing a more flexible model may require significant administrative work, such as communication, organization, and negotiation. This extra labor could cut into the my own time and resources.

Me and You – Lack of Transparency: If I am not honest about what I can offer and hold to my boundaries, and if you are not honest about what you can exchange for this service (payment or trade), then the Abundance Model doesn’t feel like abundance!

You – Uncomfortable Feelings: For some people, choosing how much to pay can create stress or discomfort, especially if you’re unsure about what’s fair or are concerned about your budget. Many of us aren’t used to talking about money at all! Uncomfortable feelings aren’t bad though – leaning into what is making us uncomfortable is a chance to learn about ourselves. Some people might feel pressured to pay more than you can afford, but please allow this to be a time to receive if you are in this place. Some people may feel guilty if you choose to pay at the lower end, even if that’s all you can feasibly manage. This discomfort can affect your overall experience of the event, AND I want to assure you that the amount you pay for your ticket doesn’t change how I offer the event to you or feel about you!

Me and You – Possible Sense of Unequal Exchange: Some people may perceive non-monetary contributions as “less valuable” than financial contributions or feel uncertain about the value of service. I’ve committed to being honest and open within this model, so I promise you that I’ll say something if it doesn’t feel just right. I want win-win exchanges for all of us.

Balancing these potential downsides with the spirit of accessibility and support is key to making the Abundance Model successful for all of us. Clear communication and thoughtful planning can help mitigate many of these challenges… and that’s what this is all about. Clear, open offerings from me to you, and from you to me. Thank you.
